Returns Policy
Overview
At Skynet Augmented AI, your satisfaction is our priority. We want you to feel confident in every purchase you make with us. This page outlines our standard return, exchange, and warranty policies for all products sold through our online store and directly from Skynet, including Skynet-branded devices, TP-Link products, and Avigilon Alta systems.
Non-returnable items:
- Activated or Used Software Licenses
- Once a license key or subscription (e.g., Avigilon Alta cloud license) has been activated, it cannot be returned or refunded.
- Consumables
- Batteries, power packs, cables, or accessories once opened.
- Packaging needs to be as purchased.
- Opened Packaged Goods
- Items that rely on sealed packaging for resale (e.g., RFID tags, access cards, SIM cards).
- Customized / Special-Order Products
- Custom configurations, bespoke system builds, or products imported specially for a client.
- Damaged / Misused Items
- Products that show physical damage, signs of tampering, or installation errors.
- Clearance or Sale Items
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:
- In certain situations, only partial refunds may be granted at Skynet’s discretion, including but not limited to:
- Items returned with obvious signs of use.
- Products that are not in their original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
- Items returned beyond the 30-day return window (where accepted under special approval).
- Opened consumables or accessories where only part of the package is returned.
📌 Note: Shipping costs are non-refundable. If a refund is approved, the cost of return shipping may also be deducted from your refund (unless the product was defective or incorrect).
Standard Returns (Local & General Products)
Return Window: You may return items within 30 days of purchase.
Conditions:
Products must be unused, undamaged, and in resalable condition.
Must include all original packaging, manuals, and accessories.
Proof of purchase (invoice/receipt) is required.
Refunds:
Refunds are issued to the original payment method or as store credit.
Shipping fees are non-refundable.
Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the item is defective or incorrect.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
Exchange Policy
Products eligible for return within 30 days may be exchanged for another item of equal or lesser value.
If the replacement item costs more, you’ll be responsible for the difference.
For urgent replacements, a new item may need to be purchased first while the return is processed.
Manufacturer Warranties
ertain products include additional manufacturer warranties:
- Avigilon Alta: Lifetime warranty on most products; 5 years on Pro Series.
- TP-Link: Typically 3 years (varies by product).
- Skynet-branded products: Standard 1-year warranty against defects.
👉 Warranty claims cover defects in materials or workmanship only.
👉 Warranty does not cover misuse, negligence, modifications, or accidental damage.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at info@skynetrsa.com.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.
Return Process
Contact us at info@skynetrsa.com within the return window with your order number and reason for return.
Our team will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and shipping instructions.
Clearly mark the RMA number on your package and send the item back.
Once inspected, we’ll issue your refund, credit, or exchange.
Refund Timing
Refunds typically process within 5–10 business days after inspection.
Timing depends on your bank/credit card provider.
If delayed, please check with your bank before contacting us.
Shipping Responsibility
Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the product is defective, incorrect, or covered under warranty replacement.
For returns over R1,500, we recommend using a trackable courier or insurance — Skynet cannot guarantee receipt otherwise.
📌 Note: This policy applies to all Skynet Augmented AI online and direct sales. Manufacturer-specific RMA and warranty processes (e.g., Avigilon Alta and TP-Link) may require separate steps, which our support team will guide you through.
Business-to-Business (B2B) Sales
For purchases made through official quotation and invoicing (outside of the online store), the following terms apply:
- No Returns or Refunds: Once a quote has been accepted, invoiced, and paid, the sale is considered final. No refunds or returns will be accepted on such transactions.
- Dispute Window: Any disputes regarding invoiced products or services must be raised in writing within 60 days from the date of invoice.
- After 60 Days: No disputes, refund requests, or claims will be entertained beyond this period.
- Exclusions: These terms do not affect manufacturer warranty rights (e.g., Avigilon, TP-Link, or other OEM warranty processes still apply to defective products).
